I am digging this. The open space adds a nice eriee-ness to the piece that will be increased with the grass. Can't wait to see the finished piece.
This one is working in progress. I was planning on adding tall dry grass all around the field and have him in full color. The evil kid is holding a dead cat if you can't make it out.
